As Group Chief Information Security Officer at Standard Chartered Bank, Cheri McGuire oversees information and cyber security strategy and risk management, governance, policy, training and
awareness, third party security risk, assurance testing and red teaming, exercises, regulatory engagement, and partnerships. With more than 25 years of industry and government experience, she has held senior roles at Microsoft, Symantec, the US Department of Homeland Security Cyber Division/US-Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT), and Booz Allen Hamilton. In 2017, the Monetary Authority of Singapore appointed her to its first International Cyber Security Advisory Panel. She also sits on the World Economic Forum Global Future Council on Cybersecurity, the Europol Advisory Group on Financial Services, The George Washington University Center for Cyber and Homeland Security Board, and the UK Cyber Defence Alliance Board. She is a frequent presenter on cyber risk management and resilience, information sharing, and cybercrime, and has testified as an invited expert witness numerous times before the US Congress.
